Virgin Vacation have been a unique force in the Hong Kong indie scene since their inception in 2018. Formed by visual artists, sound designers and theatre practitioners. Their self-titled debut EP released in 2021 draws from myriad sources from krautrock, film soundtracks, free jazz, electronica, through the use of improvisational techniques combined with structural musical arrangements that brews different musical style into a carefully crafted concoction of controlled chaos. Known for their collaborations with artists, filmmakers, and other musicians which brings their music into a more experimental approach. Virgin Vacation’s first debut album“Dapple Patterns”released in 2024 was nominated for the“Best Asian Creative Awards”at Taiwan GIMA Award 2024 and has been featured in multiple playlist on streaming platforms also named“Best singles”and“Top Album Release”by a number of media in Asia.
