NeonGarden, a rock band formed in 2017, hails from Chongqing and consists of vocalist/bassist Tan Congchong, guitarist Wan Jiahao and drummer Zhao Yang.
Formed in September ’17, NeonGarden is full of colorful indie music and versatile styles. Listening to their “No One’s Seaside”, you can feel the simple romantic mood and the beautiful fantasy under the clear melody, while if you are listening to their “But I Love You”, you will realize that this band is actually contradictory and diversified, and you can see that there are thoughts and impulses mixed in them. Quietness and dryness are just magically managed by them at the same time.
In a way, Neon Garden is a very pure band, they don’t write their lyrics in an obscure and abstract way, and they don’t pay too much attention to rhymes and formats, their simple words and pure impulses draw out a sense of freedom without any hesitation. The neon rainbow at the beginning of the day, the spring breeze is intoxicating, disorienting but firm, warm and lonely, just like the youth of every one of us, which we have no choice but to recall with some regret.
