Chang Cheng-yue (Ayal Komod) is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, music producer, and one of the most influential figures in Mandopop and alternative rock music. Debuting in 1993, he is known for blending rock, folk, pop, hip-hop, and indigenous musical elements into a distinctive and deeply personal style.

Born in Taitung, Taiwan, Chang is of Amis indigenous heritage, and his music often reflects themes of freedom, youth, love, and everyday life. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation for honest songwriting and a laid-back artistic identity that resonates across generations.

His best-known songs include Love Me, Don’t Go, Missing Is a Kind of Sickness, Xiao Yu, Goodbye, and Freedom, many of which have become classics in the Chinese-speaking world.
